On 14th February 2019, a Connectathon data consumer (DC) – data provider (DP) connections between 10 Member States took place. Italy and Slovakia deployed data providers (DP) of official company information which were successfully tested by the data consumer (DC) services of Greece, Slovenia and Sweden. Austria is planned to join the next connectathon in the following days. Next in line will be pilot services from Romania, Poland and Norway.
It’s been over 7 months since the first cross-border data exchange in TOOP took place, when a Greek ESPD service (data consumer) successfully received information from the Swedish Business register (data provider), effectively simplifying the cross-border e-Procurement process. By the end of the year, Sweden added the TOOP-enabled e-Government service (data consumer) of its own and Slovenia successfully deployed both data consumer and data provider capabilities. The Slovenian pilot was implemented in a very short time by exploiting the national eGovernment framework infrastructure, which includes a once-only layer, a central Identity management service and a standardised e-form generator used by many Slovenian administrations.
