It’s been 24 days since Austria took over presidency of the Council of the European Union. Its’ Half-year timeslot covers 10 main priorities to implement, defined in the Programme of the Austrian Presidency. One of them focuses on The Once-Only Principle.
The sixth priority called “Competitiveness Council” says about further development of the Single Digital Market. It aims to reduce administrative burdens across the European borders. The Austrian Presidency declares to continue work on finalising the proposed legislation to establish the Single Digital Gateway. This document lays the foundation to make The Once-Only Principle a daily reality. It's the first step towards the EU-wide implementation of the Principle.
